Perez Will Defend Title Again Tonight

Raul Perez of Tijuana will defend his World Boxing Council bantamweight championship for the eighth time at the Forum tonight. Perez, 24, who will fight against Greg Richardson of Youngstown, Ohio, has held the title since October of 1988. Perez has one of boxing’s best records, 47-1-1.
Richardson, 35, is 28-3.
