Son Sought in Woman’s Slaying
A Granada Hills woman was found stabbed to death Tuesday in her apartment, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Teresita Santana Escarrilla, 54, was stabbed once in the upper body in the apartment in the 16000 block of Devonshire Street, Police Detective Robert Wantling said.
Her husband discovered the body when he returned from work about 5:20 p.m., Wantling said.
There was no evidence of forced entry and nothing appeared to have been removed from the apartment, he said.
Police were attempting to find the slain woman’s son, Roy Escarrilla, 22, for questioning.
The son lived at home with his parents and sister, according to Wantling.
