4 Teams Continue in Regional Play

Four Valley-area men’s basketball teams will play second-round games tonight in the Southern California regional of the state junior college tournament.

Ventura College (29-4), seeded second in the South, will play at home against 18th-seeded Fullerton (16-15) at 7; seventh-seeded Antelope Valley (25-5) will play host to 10th-seeded Cypress (23-10) at 7; Grossmont (15-12), the 22nd-seeded team, will play at 7 at 11th-seeded Canyons (20-12); and No. 13 Valley (20-12) will visit fourth-seeded Compton (25-6) for a 7:30 game.
