Mariah Carey is No. 1 on the Billboard pop album chart again this week, a position her debut album, “Mariah Carey,” may hold for at least the next few weeks. Also, she has another No. 1 single with “Someday” rising to the top of the pop singles chart this week. Winning two Grammys last week has made this hot new singer ever hotter. The rocking Black Crowes jumped into the Top 10 with their album “Shake Your Money Maker,” climbing four rungs to No. 8.

* Soul balladeer Oleta Adams’ “Cirle of One” album started slowly about six months ago but lately has been bounding up the chart, this week to No. 43. This new surge is fueled by her hit pop single, “Get Here,” a Brenda Russell composition, that’s up three notches to No. 11.
