Loara High School guard Tes Whitlock, who broke an 80-year-old county record by scoring 68 points in a game this season, heads the list of selections for the 26th Orange County All-Star boys’ basketball game scheduled for 4 p.m. April 27 at Saddleback College.

Whitlock, who will play for the North team, broke Art Worthy’s county record of 58 points set in 1910 at Huntington Beach High by scoring 68 points in a victory over Saddleback in the Irvine World News Tournament. He later had 58 points in an Empire League victory over Katella.

Whitlock finished his four-year career with 2,096 points in 83 varsity games, averaging 25.2 points per game.
