Kelvin Woods, a junior from Pomona, was named the University of San Diego’s most valuable player at the Toreros’ postseason awards banquet. Woods, a first-team All-West Coast Conference selection, averaged 13.6 points and shot 54% from the field. Senior forward Anthony Thomas won an award for leadership, and junior guard Michael Brown was honored for effort and commitment in practice.

Senior center Keith Colvin received an award for athletic and academic excellence. Colvin, an anthropology major, carried a 3.2 grade-point average.
