UC Riverside won the first of three games against Cal State Dominguez Hills, 5-2, on Friday at Riverside.

Riverside is 25-20 overall and 12-9 in California Collegiate Athletic Assn. play. Dominguez Hills, which entered the series only a game out of first place, is 24-17-1 and 12-11.
