Share

Granada Hills West swept an American Legion doubleheader Saturday at Granada Hills High, but it was not exactly a twin killing. Not only did Granada Hills West beat different teams, it also did so in vastly different ways.

In the first game, Granada Hills West trounced San Fernando, 10-0, and in the second it edged Granada Hills East, 4-3.

Michael Petruzates led the way against San Fernando. He was two for three with a two-run home run and struck out seven with no walks in a game shortened to five innings because of the 10-run rule. Petruzates is 4-0.
