All-Star Lineups for Lions Game Are Announced

Players have been selected for the West Torrance Lions All-Star football game Aug. 1 at El Camino College.

The East and West teams are made up of 64 South Bay high school players who graduated in June. Mary Star Coach Mike Marinkovich will guide the East. Redondo’s Chris Hyduke will coach the West.

City Section 4-A Division champion Carson leads the East squad with five selections, followed by Banning, Leuzinger and Mary Star with four each.

Redondo tops the West team with seven players, followed by Hawthorne and Mira Costa with five each.

Twenty-three schools will be represented in the game, which was not held last year for the first time in 25 years because of manpower constraints in the West Torrance Lions Club.
