Jeff Campbell caught two second-quarter touchdown passes to lead the Detroit Lions to a 14-3 victory over the Denver Broncos Saturday in the NFL Hall of Fame exhibition at Canton, Ohio.

Campbell’s scores were all the Lions needed as they limited the Broncos to two first downs and 49 yards in the second half.

Campbell caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Rodney Peete on the third play of the quarter to give the Lions a 7-3 lead. Peete strained a muscle in his leg on the play and left the game.

Andre Ware replaced Peete and capped an 80-yard drive with a 41-yard touchdown pass to Campbell for a 14-3 lead.

John Elway completed three of five passes for 26 yards on the game’s first possession, which ended with David Treadwell’s 18-yard field goal, giving Denver a 3-0 lead.

Former Ram Gaston Green had 33 yards in seven carries for the Broncos.
