Man Runs Into Train’s Path, Is Slightly Hurt
A man running to catch a Metro Blue Line train at the Compton station was slightly hurt Tuesday when he was hit by another train just pulling in, RTD officials reported.
The accident occurred at 1920 S. Acacia Ave. shortly before 8 a.m., said Greg Davy, a spokesman for the Southern California Rapid Transit District. “He was trying to catch a northbound train, but he ran in front of a southbound train that was stopping at the station,” Davy said. Paramedics took the man to Charter Suburban Hospital in Paramount and the train was taken out of service for inspection, Davy said.
