West Team Trailing in Junior Golf Event

Kellee Booth of Coto de Caza and Tiger Woods of Cypress played for the West team Saturday in the American Junior Golf Assn. Canon Cup at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. The West trailed the East, 8-7, after the first day of competition.

Booth teamed with Lisa Cornwell of Fayetteville, Ark., and halved their match with Vicki Goetze of Watkinsville, Ga., and Mandy Kuhn of Pinehurst, N.C.

Woods and Brian Bateman of Monroe, La., lost, 4 and 3, to Rob Bradley of Milford, N.J., and Alex Buecking of Barrington, Ill.
