Car of Missing Manager Found
A car belonging to a KCOP-TV engineering manager who has been missing for four days was found abandoned in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, police said. The vehicle will be dusted for fingerprints and other clues today.
Sgt. Paul Hayashida of the Glendale Police Department said the tan 1989 BMW was found at the corner of 11th Street and Central Avenue.
Jeff Webreck, 44, an engineering manager for KCOP-TV Channel 13 was last seen about 11 p.m. Tuesday as he left the station in Hollywood for his home in Glendale, police said.
Earlier in the week, police said they could not rule out foul play in Webreck’s disappearance after a man tried to use Webreck’s credit card to make a purchase at a Hollywood store. The man fled when a clerk asked for a second piece of identification.
