COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Schwengel, Cypress Win in Water Polo

Ray Schwengel had eight goals and Cypress defeated Fullerton, 17-13, in a nonconference water polo game Tuesday at Cypress.

Goalkeeper Darren Bogdanovich had 22 saves for Cypress (2-0).

In another nonconference water polo game:

Saddleback 14, Rio Hondo 9--Dan Werner, a freshman from San Clemente High School, scored seven goals, including three in the third quarter, for host Saddleback (3-7).

In nonconference women’s volleyball:

Cypress 3, West Los Angeles 0--Dineen John had eight kills for host Cypress (3-0), which won 15-1, 15-4, 15-5.
