Bakersfield West 28, Antelope Valley 24--Mark Moore scored on a two-yard touchdown run with 3:30 left to lead the Vikings at home.

Antelope Valley had taken a 24-20 lead with 7:17 left when Freddie Edwards scored an 84-yard touchdown run. Edwards gained 132 yards in eight carries and scored three touchdowns for Antelope Valley (0-2), which led, 17-6, at halftime. Edwards’ other scores came on runs of three and five yards in the first half.

West (2-0) had 364 yards in total offense, including 292 on the ground. Moore gained 144 yards in 13 carries and scored twice.
