SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

Marco Dominguez’s interception in the final 40 seconds helped Los Alamitos defeat Villa Park, 13-7, in a nonleague football game Friday at Cerritos College.

His interception in the end zone of a 29-yard pass from Villa Park’s A.J. Strapp assured a third consecutive victory for Los Alamitos, the county’s 10th-ranked team.

“We needed a play right there and Marco made it. He made two picks (in the fourth quarter) and played one heck of a game,” said Los Alamitos Coach John Barnes.
