Another Checkbook Game for Fullerton
Cal State Fullerton figures to line its pockets at the expense of its record today when it plays at Georgia.
Fullerton, which ended a 13-game losing streak by defeating Cal State Northridge last week, will receive $225,000 for playing in 85,434-seat Sanford Stadium at Athens, Ga.
It marks the sixth time the Titans have ventured into the Southeastern Conference for a big guarantee check. Fullerton (1-2) has had scant success against SEC teams, going 0-5 and being outscored, 233-45.
Georgia (2-1) has allowed 20 points in three games.
