Intruder Repeatedly Rapes Woman, 64, in 5-Hour Ordeal

An intruder repeatedly raped a 64-year-old woman early Sunday during a sexual assault at her home in which he pursued her from room to room for more than five hours, police reported.

Sgt. Perry Miller said the assault occurred shortly after midnight in the 900 block of East Greenwood Avenue, where the attacker entered the victim’s apartment through a sliding glass window or door.

The woman told police that she was awakened by a naked man who was standing beside her bed. According to police, the intruder then put one hand over her mouth and warned her to cooperate or she would get hurt.

Miller said that for the next 5 1/2 hours, the man sexually assaulted her throughout the rooms of her apartment before fleeing from the complex shortly before 6 a.m.

The victim was treated at St. Jude Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Fullerton.
