ROUNDUP : Royal Routs Westlake to Remain Unbeaten in Girls’ Volleyball

Share

The way Royal High girls’ volleyball Coach Bob Ferguson figures it, if his team keeps winning, the Highlanders might lose their place in the Southern Section rankings.

Royal defeated Westlake, 15-6, 15-6, 15-7, Thursday night in a Marmonte League match to improve its overall record to 6-0 and its league mark to 4-0. But despite the Highlanders’ perfect record, the team dropped from eighth to ninth in this week’s Southern Section 5-A Division poll.

“If we keep on winning, we’ll be sure to fall right out of the top 10,” Ferguson quipped.
