The Denver Nuggets signed their No. 1 draft choice, Dikembe Mutombo, to a contract that reportedly will pay the former Georgetown player $12 million over five years.
The 7-foot-2 Mutombo was the fourth pick in last June’s draft. He joined the Nuggets for practice at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
