A year after winning the tournament’s consolation title, Danielle Scott, a Corona del Mar High graduate and Arizona senior, is seeded third for the Riviera All-American Championships, which begin today at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades. Scott will face Melissa Harris of Notre Dame in today’s first round.

The tournament is one of four comprising the collegiate grand slam. Organizers are billing this year’s field as the strongest ever; 16 of the top 20 players in the preseason Volvo Tennis/Collegiate Rankings are in the field of 32, including top-ranked Lisa Albano.
