Rodney Peete, quarterback for the Detroit Lions, had surgery on a torn Achilles’ tendon in his right foot and will sit out the rest of the season.
Peete, injured Sunday in the Lions’ victory over the Dallas Cowboys, came to Los Angeles for the surgery. Richard Diehl, an orthopedic surgeon, performed the operation.
