Bicyclist Struck, Killed by Pickup Truck

A 19-year-old bicyclist was killed when he turned in front of an pickup truck and was struck, the San Diego Police Department reported Friday.

The name of the victim was not released.

A police spokesman said the bicyclist was eastbound on Imperial Avenue and, as he entered the intersection of 33rd Street with a green light, turned left into the path of the pickup truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
