Cal State Long Beach will play host to the University of the Pacific at Veterans Stadium tonight at 6 in a Big West Conference football game that should be dominated by passing.

Benched in a 31-20 loss to Hawaii a month ago, Pacific quarterback Troy Kopp has passed for 1,560 yards and 16 touchdowns in his last four games. He leads the nation in total offense, averaging more than 324 yards per game. Wide receiver Aaron Turner caught a school-record 16 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s 27-20 victory over New Mexico State.

After missing four weeks because of a broken jaw, quarterback Todd Studer of Long Beach completed 13 of 29 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown in a 7-6 victory over Utah State during a driving rainstorm.
