PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Roster Spot Opened for Return of Allen

The Raiders, as expected, placed tailback Nick Bell on injured reserve Monday, paving the way for Marcus Allen’s return to the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Bell suffered cracked ribs during last Monday night’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Allen has been on injured reserve because of strained right knee ligaments suffered in the season opener against Houston.

Bell will be eligible to return for the Raiders’ Dec. 1 game at San Diego.
