Elijah Raphael rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns in 22 carries to lead Kennedy High to its sixth consecutive win, a 35-7 rout of host Reseda on Friday night in a Northwest Valley Conference game.
Raphael scored his first touchdown after a poor punt by the Regents gave the Golden Cougars the ball on the Reseda 38-yard line. Seven plays later, Raphael covered the final five yards to give Kennedy a 14-0 lead with a minute left in the first quarter.
Kennedy (8-1, 6-0 in conference play) also capitalized on a Reseda misplay for its first touchdown when Alex Sawatzke intercepted a pass and returned it eight yards to the Kennedy 37. Eight plays later, quarterback Tavarus Logie ran in from the one for a touchdown.
Logie completed only one of four passes, but it went for 19 yards to Eric Davis for a touchdown midway through the second quarter and gave Kennedy a 20-0 lead.
Donte Scarbrough rushed for 130 yards in 25 carries for Kennedy.
The only score for the Regents (4-4, 3-3) came on a six-yard flea-flicker from Will Skett to Jeff Kent with five minutes left.
