Southern Section Playoffs : GIRLS’ TENNIS : Six Orange County Schools Are Seeded in Tournament

Six county schools are among the seeded teams in the Southern Section girls’ tennis playoff pairings announced Monday.
In Division 4-A, South Coast League powerhouses Capistrano Valley (16-1) and runner-up Dana Hills (16-3) are seeded third and fourth. Peninsula (20-0) is the No. 1-seeded team.
Capistrano Valley opens at home Thursday in a first-round match against Sea View League runner-up Newport Harbor (9-8), and Dana Hills plays host to Rio Hondo League runner-up South Pasadena (13-5) the same day.
No county team is seeded in Division 3-A, where defending champion Westlake Village Westlake is the top seed. But all four seeds in Division 2-A belong to county teams: No. 1 Los Alamitos (18-0), No. 2 Rosary (13-3-1), No. 3 Sunny Hills (18-1) and No. 4 Mater Dei (12-3).

Division 3-A--Rowland at Estancia, San Gorgonio at Foothill, Villa Park at Redlands, Costa Mesa at Diamond Bar, West Torrance at Laguna Beach, El Modena at Riverside Poly. Division 2-A--Lynwood at Los Alamitos, Arlington at Sonora, Santa Margarita at Paramount, Katella at Long Beach Wilson, Long Beach Millikan at Mater Dei, Glendora at Sunny Hills, Canyon Springs at El Dorado, Fullerton at J.W. North, Esperanza at Long Beach Poly, Gahr at Rosary. Division 1-A--Winner of Brea-Olinda-Santiago at Keppel, Pioneer at Pacifica, Savanna at Chadwick, Bolsa Grande at Valencia. Small Schools--Artesia at Orange Lutheran.
