CS Fullerton Meets CS Long Beach

Share

Cal State Fullerton, which will move into a new on-campus stadium next season, plays its final game in Santa Ana Stadium today against Cal State Long Beach at 1 p.m.

Titan Coach Gene Murphy hopes the team’s eight-year stay in Santa Ana ends on a high note, but even against a weak 49er team, Fullerton is an underdog. The Long Beach defense has given up an average of 37.5 points and 416 yards, but the 49ers (2-8, 2-4 in the Big West Conference) still have a superior offense to that of Fullerton (1-9, 0-6).

Despite sitting out five games because of injury, 49er quarterback Todd Studer has passed for 836 yards and six touchdowns. Titan quarterback Chad May has passed for 853 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games.
