Basketball Shutout: Blair 62, Marshall 0
The Pasadena Blair High girls’ basketball team defeated Pasadena Marshall Fundamental, 62-0, in a Southern Section nonleague game Wednesday night at Blair.
In the only other recorded shutout in Southern Section history, Indian Hills was shut out by Ventura Temple Christian during the 1983-84 season.
Blair, which had never defeated Marshall (0-1) in the games they have played regularly since they started girls’ basketball programs, led, 27-0, at halftime. The Vikings (2-0) were led by Taya Woods, who scored 21 points, and Erika O’Neal, who scored 18.
