PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Lyght Discovers That Losing Is Tough
Rookie cornerback Todd Lyght, who never had the opportunity to get used to losing at Notre Dame, is struggling to keep up his spirits as the Rams prepare to play the Vikings in Minnesota Sunday.
“I always see myself as being part of a good team,” Lyght said. “I always have been, since I’ve been associated with organized sports. Then you get to the NFL, the level you’ve always dreamed of playing on, and you come to a team that’s not playing well, not winning.
“It’s been a lot tougher to cope with than I imagined. When you’re not having success, it’s very hard to get motivated to practice and play. Everything thrives on success. Everything you do is aimed at it. When you don’t achieve success, it seems like everything you’re doing isn’t worth it.”
