PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NFL : Bono Won’t Play Against Bears

Quarterback Steve Bono, hobbled by a left knee sprain, was declared out of the San Francisco 49ers’ final regular-season game Monday night against the Chicago Bears. Steve Young, although somewhat gimpy himself, is expected to start. The 49ers’ third quarterback is rookie Bill Musgrave, who has not played this season.

Bono, who led the 49ers to five consecutive victories, was injured when he took a hit after an incomplete pass during last Sunday’s game with the Chiefs.
