Master’s Rolls to 66-52 Win Over Fresno Pacific
In what Coach Mel Hankinson described as his “best performance of the season,” senior forward Jason Webster scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in leading The Master’s College to a 66-52 victory over host Fresno Pacific on Friday night in an NAIA District 3 basketball game.
“Our defense played well, mixing man and zone, and we rebounded the ball really well,” Hankinson said after the Mustangs (8-5, 2-0 in district play) outscored the Sunbirds, 36-22, in the second half after a 30-30 halftime deadlock.
Tom Bruner added 14 points and 11 rebounds and Joe Jon Bryant had 13 and Damon Greer 10.
Greg Zuffelato led the Sunbirds with 17 points.
