In other nonleague boys’ basketball:

Valencia 65, Sonora 58--Adolfo Gomez had 18 points and 17 rebounds for Valencia (7-4), which outscored Sonora, 22-7, in the third quarter. Chris St. Clair had 19 points for Sonora.

Magnolia 76, Bellflower 62--Magnolia scored 37 points in the fourth quarter, led by 12 each from Doug Isaacks and Andy Walin. The Sentinels (5-6) trailed, 45-39, after three quarters, but capitalized on numerous Bellflower turnovers to overcome the deficit. Walin finished with 18 points, and Isaacks added 14 and 10 rebounds. Demetrius Maltie scored 21 points to lead Magnolia.

In nonleague girls’ basketball:

Kennedy 57, Anaheim 20--Lynly Matsumoto had 23 points and nine rebounds for host Kennedy (5-4), which led, 11-1, after the first quarter.

Dana Hills 60, Trabuco Hills 24--The Dolphins (10-4) opened a 21-3 lead after one quarter and cruised to the victory at home. Adara Newidouski scored 13 points to lead Dana Hills, and Nicolle Zuniga added eight points and six steals. Keri Regier scored eight points and Sacha Ross had seven for Dana Hills.

Woodbridge 76, Irvine 36--Priya Vasudev scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds to lead Woodbridge (11-3) over host Irvine (1-6). Jenny Fenton added 19 points for the Warriors, ranked sixth in Orange County.

Troy 55, Orange 37--Brandee Richardson scored 14 points and had 12 rebounds for host Troy (7-3). Dede Logemann added 14 points for the Warriors, who opened a 34-18 lead at halftime.

In nonleague boys’ soccer:

Newport Harbor 1, Mater Dei 0--Branon Coluccio scored 15 minutes into the second half for the host Sailors (2-4-1).
