Emtman Reportedly to Enter NFL Draft
Steve Emtman, University of Washington defensive tackle, will forgo another college season and make himself available for the NFL draft, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported Monday.
Emtman told friends that he will turn pro, the newspaper said, citing two sources who asked not to be identified.
Emtman, 21, said Sunday that he had not made up his mind to leave the Huskies.
Twice Pacific 10 Conference defensive player of the year, Emtman has until Feb. 1 to decide whether to declare himself eligible for the NFL draft that begins April 26. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound tackle is projected as a first-round pick, perhaps first overall.
