Rancho Bernardo 68, San Marcos 34--Full-court pressure defense helped No. 3 Rancho Bernardo (19-3, 10-2) to 14 steals and a 37-12 advantage in the second and third quarters. Guard Carol Pajarillo led four RB players in double figures with 19 points. Tammy Hinrichs led San Marcos (11-10, 8-4) with 18 points.

Hilltop 53, Chula Vista 51 (OT)--Chula Vista’s Allison Hines hit a jumper with 10 seconds remaining to forge a 47-47 tie. In overtime, Hilltop’s Julie Barker (18 points) made both foul shots in a one-and-one situation with 53 seconds remaining, giving Hilltop (14-5, 9-3) sole possession of second place. Chula Vista (10-11, 8-4) fell to third. Hines finished with 17 points and 12 steals, teammate Jennifer Benitez 11 points and Hilltop’s Stacey Heaps 14.

Francis Parker 64, La Jolla Country Day 29--Julie Cheskaty led Francis parker (13-8) with 29 points and teammate Leslie Hazard added 14 and dealt 12 assists.
