2 Women Hurt When One Runs Stop Sign

Share

A woman drove through a stop sign Monday afternoon and collided with a second car, sending that driver through her car window and about 50 feet across the pavement, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The women--Merna L. Gibson, 76, and Barbara J. Boyd, 37, both of Tustin--were taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana and treated for bruises to the head and chest and released after the 2:25 p.m. collision at Prospect and Santa Clara avenues, CHP Officer Angel Johnson said.

The CHP said Gibson was driving north on Prospect and did not see the stop sign posted at the corner.
