Balanced Effort Lifts CSUN to Volleyball Win Over Ball St.

Five Cal State Northridge players reached double figures in kills Thursday as the Matadors defeated Ball State, 15-9, 15-10, 15-10, in a nonconference volleyball match at Matador Gym.
Axel Hagar recorded 16 kills for Northridge (10-6), and he was complemented by Ken Lynch (14 kills), Coley Kyman (12), Greg Weaver (12) and Craig Hewitt (10).
The victory was the 99th in the career of Northridge Coach John Price, who could reach the century mark Saturday night when Northridge plays host to unbeaten and top-ranked Cal State Long Beach.
Ball State fell to 2-8.
