Diamond Bar 8, Loara 2--The Brahmas (4-1) combined four hits, two walks and two errors for five runs in the third in the third-place game at Glover Stadium.

Laguna Hills 1, Pacifica 0--Ryan Kosciuk singled with the bases loaded to score Mike Messinger with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for host Laguna Hills (4-1), which won fifth place.

Irvine 2, Marina 0--Ryan O’Toole (1-2) threw a one-hitter with four strikeouts and three walks and Scott Seal and Aron Garcia had RBIs for Irvine (3-2) in a consolation-round game.

Sunny Hills 16, Villa Park 3--John Ferraro and Brian Volpp each went three for four and drove in two runs for the host Lancers.

In the El Segundo baseball tournament:

Encino Crespi 11, Edison 3--The Celts (4-0) combined eight hits, two walks and two errors for nine first-inning runs in the semifinal victory at Edison (3-1).

In the consolation championship of the Liberty Christian tournament:

Brethren Christian 18, Twin Pines 1 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Scott Tabot (2-0) pitched a no-hitter and struck out 11 for Brethren Christian (2-2). Dan Cerio was three for three with three RBIs and Scott Blackwell went three for four with two RBIs for Brethren Christian.

In nonleague baseball:

Buena Park 4-9, Rancho Alamitos 2-10--Scott Kimball pitched a two-hitter, not allowing a ball to be hit out of the infield, and drove in two runs with a first-inning single for host Buena Park in the opener.

Santa Margarita 12-2, Troy 5-4--Stan Bruno hit a three-run homer in the first game for Santa Margarita (2-1). In the second game, Troy’s Brent Lacher struck out seven while pitching a complete game and Derrick Gomez hit a two-run homer in the second.

At the Irvine Invitational track and field meet:

Saddleback, Woodbridge Win--Saddleback won the boys’ meet handily with 89 points. Charlie Davidson won the the 100 meters and 110 hurdles easily to win athlete of the meet honors. Woodbridge edged Mission Viejo, 57-56, for the girls’ title. Newport Harbor was third with 48 points.
