Family Quarrel Ends in a Fatal Stabbing

Lawrence Rojero, 31, of San Marcos was stabbed to death early Sunday in a fight with his brother, Julio Cesar Rojero, 24, Oceanside police said.

The stabbing occurred after Oceanside police had gone to the home, in the 3800 block of La Rosa Drive, to answer a disturbance call at 11:50 p.m. Saturday. Detective Steve Salgya said it appeared that the quarreling brothers had resolved their differences, and police left, but were called back within minutes. Upon re-entering the home, the older brother was lying on the floor, bleeding from his abdomen. He was taken to Palomar Hospital, where he died at 1 a.m.

Police are seeking the younger Rojero, who fled.
