School: Brea-Olinda High

Sport: Basketball

Position: Forward

Class: Senior

Anton, a four-year starter at forward, led Brea-Olinda in scoring (16-point average) and rebounding (nine) this season, but in the Ladycats’ 47-44 victory over Healdsburg in the State Division III title game, she showed her versatility goes far beyond statistics. Sure, Anton had game highs in scoring (19) and rebounding (16), but she also played all five positions, Brea Coach Mark Trakh said. Anton played tough defense against Healdsburg’s post players, and when point guard Nicole Erickson committed her third foul early in the second quarter, Anton took over the point the rest of the quarter. “That’s a great help when you can put your forward or center out at point guard,” Trakh said. Anton finished with four assists. Anton, who will attend USC in the fall, helped the Ladycats to a 129-6 record and three State championships in her four seasons.
