Largemouths Remain Atop Lunker List
Largemouth bass are still the focus of attention at Southland reservoirs, and Lake Casitas and Lake Castaic are still producing the biggest fish.
The top two catches of the week were taken at Casitas. Kevin Jons of Los Angeles pulled a 13-pound 4-ounce bass from the Ventura County reservoir, and Mark Simpson of Oxnard caught an 11-pounder.
The largest verified fish out of Los Angeles County’s Lake Castaic was a 10-pound 8-ounce bass caught by Stan Bolton of Reseda.
