Etherton Pitches One-Hitter for Dana Hills

Sophomore right-hander Seth Etherton pitched a one-hitter for Dana Hills, which defeated San Clemente, 1-0, in a South Coast League game Friday at Dana Hills.

Etherton (2-1) took a no-hitter into the seventh but gave up a one-out single by Mark Greyshock. Etherton struck out 13, hit one batter and walked none.

Dana Hills (6-4-1, 2-2 in league) scored in the third when Tim Wolter reached on a fielder’s choice with two outs. He went to second on a single by Jeff Robinson and scored when Chad Smith’s fly ball was dropped in the outfield for a two-base error.

San Clemente is 1-3 in league.
