Six current and former University of Texas basketball players say assistant coach Jamie Ciampaglio shorted their meal money both during trips and at home games, the Austin (Tex.) American-Statesman reported.

The players, who were not identified, said they were shorted $5 each meal during 1989 through 1991. The players also said they were shorted $10 each per day during an NCAA tournament trip in 1991. The total could be as much as $5,000, the newspaper reported. Ciampaglio’s attorney denied any wrongdoing, but advised Ciampaglio not to comment.
