Brady Clark had three doubles to spark an 11-hit attack as University of San Diego defeated UC Riverside, 6-5, in a nonconference game in Riverside. Clark, the Toreros’ left fielder, was three for five with two RBIs and two runs.

USD utility man Kevin Herde was two for four with two RBIs, and he pitched the ninth inning and earned his fifth save as USD improved to 20-21.

Stephen Bishop had a solo home run for UCR (24-15), which is ranked sixth in Division II.
