High cost of playing: Tustin’s trip to El Centro Tuesday to play Central Union in the Division 3-A baseball playoffs was costly and time consuming.
The team left Tustin at 8:15 a.m. for a four-hour, 11-minute, one-way trip to El Centro. Cost of the bus, according to Tiller Coach Vince Brown, was $900.
“We got home at 11 p.m. Wednesday, so that meant it was a 15-hour day,” Brown said.
