OBITUARY : Amarlyn Lancaster, Lawmaker’s Wife
Funeral services were held Wednesday for Amarlyn (Treece) Lancaster, the wife of Assemblyman Bill Lancaster (R-Covina).
Lancaster, 60, died Friday at the Hospice of the East San Gabriel Valley from complications of ovarian cancer.
Funeral services were at 11:30 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Covina Stake Center, where she was a member. Interment was private.
Lancaster was born April 14, 1932, in Circleville, Utah, where she also grew up. She moved to California in 1950 and married Bill Lancaster the next year. The couple lived in Covina for 26 years.
Amarlyn Lancaster worked briefly in real estate, but most recently was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband; sons William C. Lancaster of San Dimas and Covina Councilman Christopher W. Lancaster; daughter Dianne Russell of Glendora, and six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that contributions be given to the Hospice of the East San Gabriel Valley, 820 N. Phillips Ave., West Covina, Calif. 91791, or to the American Cancer Society, 50 N. Hill Ave., Pasadena, CA 91106.
