Titan Hughes to Join Junior Select Basketball Team

Kisa Hughes, the 1991-92 Big West Conference freshman of the year as Cal State Fullerton’s center, has been named to the USA Women’s Junior Select Team, USA Basketball, the sport’s governing body, announced Thursday.

Hughes, who plans on transferring to UCLA, led the conference with 10.9 rebounds per game and averaged 12.5 points.

The junior select team is composed of 12 players who will be sophomores next season. It will participate in a series of games against Canada June 24 through July 5.
