BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE MAJOR LEAGUES : Mets, Yankees Trade Relief Pitchers

In only the second trade between the two clubs involving major league players, the New York Yankees sent relief pitcher Lee Guetterman to the New York Mets for relief pitcher Tim Burke.

Burke, a 33-year-old right-hander, is 1-2 with no saves and a 5.74 ERA. Guetterman, a 33-year-old left-hander, is 1-1 with no saves and a 9.53 ERA.
