Three Long Beach high school students who allegedly belonged to a super-militaristic organization were charged Monday with murder for the execution-style slaying of a fellow student.
Two 17-year-old boys and one 16-year-old boy, whose names were not released, were each charged with one count of murder for the Feb. 2 killing of Alexander Giraldo, district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said. The three were to be arraigned today in Long Beach Juvenile Court.
Charges have not been filed against Schuyler MacPherson, 18, who was arrested Friday on suspicion of murder. He was being held without bail. The four Polytechnic High School students were allegedly members of a secret club known as the Ace of Spades, Los Angeles Police Detective Larry Kallestad said. Giraldo’s body was found strangled and stabbed and had been pitched into a ravine in San Pedro.
