PRO FOOTBALL: DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Montoya, McElroy Agree to Terms
Guard Max Montoya and tackle-guard Reggie McElroy have agreed to terms with the Raiders and will report to training camp at Oxnard today, when the veterans are due at 7 p.m. No contract terms were disclosed.
The Raiders say they are also close to reaching agreement on a one-year contract with quarterback Jay Schroeder.
“We’re close and we expect to get it done,”’ said Steve Ortmayer, director of football operations.
Wide receiver Ron Brown missed practice because of personal reasons. He is expected back today, Coach Art Shell said.
Tight end Greg Harrell and safety Bernard Ellison sat out practice because of sore knees.
The Raiders will practice once today and return to two-a-day sessions Friday, when the veterans will participate.
